FAQs
How Long Has ACS Been In Business?
ACS began in Northridge, California over 30 years ago. Since then, we’ve grown nationally to service all of California, Florida, Texas, Washington, D.C., Arizona and New Jersey. We employ hundreds of security guards in each state. Many of our guards have been with us for 10 years or more.
Is Your Company Bonded And Insured?
ACS is bonded, licensed and insured. We maintain $10 million in liability coverage—ten times the amount of our competitors. ACS has earned an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau. When investigating potential security guard companies, ask the companies for their state license number and then make sure they are in good standing.
How Do You Monitor Your Guards’ Performance?
One of the biggest issues for clients is whether the guards are going to be in their assigned locations and performing their duties properly according to the contractual agreement. We continually monitor our guards. We use technology that tracks our guards’ movements and we make surprise visits to the worksite to observe our guards in action.
Are Cameras Part Of Your Security Services?
Yes. We monitor security camera feeds for clients in real-time, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. If our offsite staff sees something suspicious, they immediately notify our onsite guards. If our guards are not contracted to be onsite, our staff will contact law enforcement. By viewing feeds in real-time, we have found we can stop criminals before they can do damage.
Can I Speak To Someone at ACS 24/7 If I Have A Question Or Problem?
Yes. Our dispatch office is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. If a need or issue arises, we’re available and here to respond immediately. It is our commitment to our clients to provide the best job possible.
How Quickly Can You Send A Security Guard To A Job?
We understand that in some cases, guards are needed immediately. ACS can typically dispatch a security guard to your location within hours of your request.
Are Your Guards Licensed? Are They Armed?
All our guards are licensed by the state licensing agency overseeing security guards. Once licensed, they must pass additional courses and receive annual continuing education. Many of our guards are licensed to carry firearms. Not all security assignments require that our guards be armed. We discuss the client’s needs to determine if armed guards are necessary.
How Do You Charge For Security Services?
We talk with you about your security needs, visit your property and then prepare a proposal of services. The number of guards, armed and unarmed, type of security needed and hours on patrol are all factored into the cost. Our fees are fair. No hidden costs.
Do Your Officers Go Through Background Checks?
Yes. Part of their security guard licensing includes federal criminal background checks. In addition, we also check driving history and conduct drug tests. For the entire list of screening procedures, click here.
Are Your Security Guards Trained For Emergencies?
Yes. All our guards are CPR and First Aid certified. In addition, part of their training includes how to respond in emergency situations (whether natural or man-made). Our guards escort individuals or groups to safety and work with law enforcement so a location is secure and safe.
