FAQs
How Long Has ACS Been In Business?
ACS was founded in Northridge, California, and for more than 30 years, we have grown into one of the most trusted names in private security. Today, we serve clients across California, Florida, Texas, Washington D.C., Arizona, and New Jersey, deploying hundreds of security professionals in each state.
Longevity in this industry is earned, not given. Many of our officers have been with us for a decade or more, a reflection of the culture, training, and leadership we invest in every day.
Is Your Company Bonded And Insured?
ACS is bonded, licensed and insured. We maintain $9 million in liability coverage — well above industry norm, because we believe your safety deserves more than the minimum. When evaluating any security provider, always request their state license number and verify that it is current and in good standing. We welcome that scrutiny.
* Total coverage reflects combined policy limits and is subject to terms, conditions, and exclusions.
How Do You Monitor Your Guards’ Performance?
Your peace of mind depends on guards actually being where they are supposed to be. At ACS, we take a multi-layered approach to accountability that goes well beyond check-in logs.
We use real-time GPS-based technology to track guard activity and movement throughout every shift. This is complemented by unannounced supervisory visits, where our managers show up in the field, unscheduled, to observe performance firsthand. The result is a standard of consistency that clients can rely on, not just read about.
Are Cameras Part Of Your Security Services?
Yes. We provide live, 24/7 monitoring of security camera feeds at client locations. Our offsite operations team watches in real time, and when something looks wrong, they act immediately.
If a guard is on-site, our team contacts them directly. If no guard is contracted, we notify law enforcement without delay. This approach allows us to intervene before situations escalate, not after.
Can I Speak To Someone at ACS 24/7 If I Have A Question Or Problem?
Absolutely. Our dispatch team is available around the clock, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. There is no after-hours voicemail, no "leave a message and we’ll get back to you." When you call, a live member of our team answers.
That accessibility is a commitment we make to every client from day one.
How Quickly Can You Send A Security Guard To A Job?
We understand that security needs do not always come with advance notice. In most cases, ACS can have a licensed security guard on-site within hours of your request — sometimes much sooner depending on your location and the scope of coverage needed.
If your situation is urgent, call us directly and we will prioritize deployment accordingly.
Are Your Guards Licensed? Are They Armed?
All ACS guards are licensed through the appropriate state regulatory agencies. Licensing is just the baseline. From there, our officers complete additional coursework and fulfill annual continuing education requirements to stay sharp and current.
Many of our guards are authorized to carry firearms. That said, armed security is not the right fit for every environment. We have a straightforward conversation with each client to understand their specific situation and recommend the most effective level of protection, whether armed or unarmed.
How Do You Charge For Security Services?
Every client and property is different, so we never use a one-size-fits-all pricing model. We start by learning about your security needs, visiting your site, and understanding what is actually at stake.
From there, we prepare a customized proposal that accounts for the number of guards required, whether armed or unarmed coverage is appropriate, the hours and frequency of patrol, and the full scope of services. Our pricing is straightforward and transparent with no hidden fees, no surprises on your invoice
Do Your Officers Go Through Background Checks?
Yes, and our screening process is thorough. Every ACS officer undergoes a federal criminal background check as part of the state licensing process. Beyond that, we independently verify driving records and conduct drug screenings before anyone is placed with a client.

Are Your Security Guards Trained For Emergencies?
Yes. Every ACS guard is certified in CPR and First Aid before they are ever placed on assignment. Emergency response training is also a core component of our program, covering scenarios that range from natural disasters to security incidents requiring coordination with law enforcement.
In any critical situation, our guards are trained to guide individuals to safety, communicate clearly with first responders, and help secure the area until the situation is resolved.
Are You Hiring Security Guards?
As the demand for security services continues to grow, we are always looking to expand our team. If you are already licensed, we would be glad to connect with you. If you are interested in becoming licensed in California, we can guide you through the required courses.
