Fraternities Required To Hire Security Guards To Keep Partying Students In Line

Fraternities at the University of Southern California (USC) have been called out for hosting raucous parties that have led to illegal behavior. Now, the school is requiring fraternities to hire security guards and station them at party entry points, gathering areas and at stairways leading to bedrooms.

The new security rules come after reports of assaults and drug use during gatherings at fraternity houses. Reports of similar instances occurring on college campuses around the country are making news. Young adults and alcohol don’t mix.

To make sure violent or destructive behavior does not occur during large fraternity gatherings, guards are being called in to monitor the party guests, often with the authority to halt the party if bad behavior is taking place.

Fraternities are realizing that their chapter could be suspended and students expelled if changes aren’t made. Access Control Security provides on-campus and off-campus campus security guard services in California and Arizona.
