Vandals Slash More Than 40 Tires At San Bernardino Apartment Complex
Residents of a San Bernardino County apartment complex woke up one morning to find that vandals had slashed the tires of their vehicles. More than 40 cars were damaged.
According to police, the tires were punctured sometime after midnight. The result was a lot of angry residents worried about their personal safety and the security of their property. Their concerns are valid. Destruction of over 40 tires in a single evening is unsettling and makes residents feel vulnerable to other criminal activity.
Apartment Security Guards. Enlisting the help of an apartment security guard company is one way to prevent vandalism. Vandals typically damage property when they feel no one is watching. Security guards patrols are a strong deterrent. If vandals are still bold enough to try to do damage, guards can quickly catch them in the act and detain them until police arrive.
Security Camera Surveillance. Not all apartment complexes can afford continuous onsite security personnel. Another option is to install security cameras that are monitored 24/7 offsite. When the dispatch officer notices illegal or suspicious activity, a security guard can be sent immediately to the apartment complex or the police can be called.
Either option would have prevented such widespread damage.
